A bit more about me
Hello! I’m Lauren, I’m an Online Business Manager, Launch and Tech Expert (and part-time Yoga Teacher), currently based in Essex, UK.
I’ve been obsessed with the internet and being online since age 13. I’m part of the generation that grew up online and I’ve always had an affinity for systems, processes and figuring things out.
I spent my early career working in corporate finance – starting in fraud management, before progressing to become a Learning and Development Coach and Trainer for Lloyds TSB. That role sparked my passion for learning and teaching.
After a short stint in New Zealand, where I aced admin roles for high-profile institutions like the University of Auckland, I headed back to the UK and headed in an entirely new direction, major donor fundraising. I worked at the prestigious dance theatre Sadler’s Wells for four years, followed by a role at international development charity, The Brooke.
For almost a decade, I managed relationships with donors, celebrities and other stakeholders, created strategies for growth and raised over a million pounds for some very worthy causes. It gave me an incredible grounding in project management, donor retention and customer service.
The thread running through my career is an ability to see and understand the bigger picture and then build it into something even better. I created incredible change and transformation in each of my previous roles – bringing an intuitive approach and ability to cut through the noise and spot patterns and identify ways to make a difference.
Underlying all of this is a life-long passion for personal development too, and a yearning to know and understand myself better. I’ve practiced yoga since my twenties, and in 2016, I made the decision to head to India to become a yoga teacher. It was one of the hardest and best things I ever accomplished in my life.
And that was the start of my self-employed adventure…
I launched ‘Yoga by Lauren’ in August 2016, and quickly realised that whilst I didn’t want to work in an office anymore, I missed the challenges and problem-solving from my previous roles.
Quite simply – I fell into Virtual Assistant work. I launched Let Lauren Help in 2016, after a VA friend started referring clients over to me.
My books filled up and quite quickly, it became apparent that what I offered to my clients wasn’t just admin support. Clients were looking to me for strategic and marketing support, and viewed me as a right-hand woman, a critical part of their business.
I helped my clients to get organised and set up systems and processes so that their businesses ran smoothly. I took their ideas for creating new products, programmes and services and helped make them a reality. And then I watched as their businesses started to grow.
In 2020, I officially re-launched as an Online Business Manager and Launch Manager. And because I love tech, my packages and services offer a hybrid between Online Business Manager, including implementation and my tech expertise and support.
My clients are coaches, image consultants, marketing strategists and yoga teachers. They are purpose-led business-owners who know what they want and who want to make a difference.
